Dear friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to update you on the progress of “3D Your World” (3DYW), and share with you the journey I’ve had with this project.
It all started in 2019, when I was playing a 2D building and exploring game, and I thought to myself, why not create a 3D version of this game? That was the spark that ignited my passion for game creation and coding, and I set out on a mission to bring “3D Your World” to life.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I found myself with more time to dedicate to the project, and I was able to make substantial progress. I was having a lot of fun working on the game and was proud of what I was able to accomplish.
I shared the game with a small group of beta testers and received valuable feedback that helped me improve the game. However, despite my best efforts, there were still many bugs and issues that needed to be addressed. Additionally, there were several instances of spamming and drama within the player community, which made it difficult for me to continue working on the project.
Unfortunately, in late 2021, the source code for the game was leaked from my computer, including sensitive information such as player passwords. This was a huge blow to me, and I was devastated that all of my hard work had been compromised.
In response to the leak, I took the time to recode the maps and password system, and I made sure that all player information was encrypted and securely stored. I also took a step back from the project to regroup and consider my options.
Now, I am excited to announce that I have decided to start fresh and recode “3D Your World” from scratch. I am determined to make the game better than ever, and I am confident that with my improved coding skills, I will be able to address the issues that plagued the previous version.
I want to stress that “3D Your World” will always be completely free to play, and I am committed to providing a fun and safe experience for all players. I believe that this project has the potential to bring joy and fulfillment to players, just as it has brought joy and fulfillment to me.
I hope that you will join me on this journey, and I welcome any comments or feedback you may have. Whether it’s positive or negative, I am always open to hearing what you have to say.
Thank you friend for taking the time to read this update, and I look forward to sharing more about “3D Your World” with you in the future.
Best regards,
Hamad Al-Qassar.
